What you’ll need:
- Heart cutter
- Cake and frosting mixture pressed into a cake pan, 1/2″ high Pink candy melts (See how to make cake pops for cake plus frosting mixture.)
- Red candy melts
- Lollipop sticks
- Styrofoam block
- Piping bag
- Edible markers, red and black

Please can you tell me why some people tell me I should use shortening when I melt the candy melts. I’m having great difficulty in getting my candy melts to be runny enough. They always seem to be really thick even though I’ve tried using vegetable oil, they still seem really thick & guppy. Thank you.
